February 27: Today we explored the rich tradition of altered books, another approach to artist's books. We began to create artist's books that either utilized the book form as a basis for creating a new sculptural form or mines the book's text for found poetry.
A great example of 'text mining' came from British artist Tom Phillips treated book, Humument.
