Harlan Jacobson’s Talk Cinema features sneak previews of highly acclaimed foreign and independent films. Co-hosted this fall by Tearlach Hutcheson, professor at SMU and Director of Marketing for the Movie Studio Grills, the series encourages discussion among audience members, offering the added bonus of seeing great new films from festivals around the world before they hit theaters. The films vary in nationality and scope, and titles are kept a surprise until the screening. Coffee will be served at 10:30 am.

Celebrating ten years in our building, this studio program focuses on new works acquired in tandem with our ten year anniversary celebration. The class explores works by Mark Bradford, Sol LeWitt, Vernon Fisher and many more! Distinguished local artists visit and discuss each work with the class and lead participants in specially designed studio projects using mixed media. The class spans ten weeks with three different artists leading separate projects over the course of the mini semester. There is a two-week break in March for spring break. All materials are provided.
