Controversy surrounds CBS anchor Dan Rather (Robert Redford) and 60 Minutes producer Mary Mapes (Cate Blanchett) after the network broadcasts a report about President George W. Bush and his military service. When the story blows up in their faces, the ensuing scandal ruins Rather's career, nearly changes a US presidential election, and almost takes down all of CBS News in the process.

November 3 Valerie Hegarty, a Brooklyn-based artist who creates paintings, sculptures, and installations that often address themes of memory, place, and history—such as “Alternative Histories,” her 2013 intervention in the period rooms at the Brooklyn Museum—shares her work and experiences in the lecture “Valerie Hegarty: Reverse Archeology, the Creation of Decay and Other Uncanny Transformations.”
