Films

Raid of the Rainbow Lounge premiered in Fort Worth to a 2012 sold out audience, rave reviews and a media frenzy. The film was the lead story on every news broadcast (ABC, CBS, NBC, CW, FOX) in the DFW metroplex during the week leading up to the premier. The momentum has continued  with film screenings across the globe. ROTRL recounts the widely publicized and controversial 2009 police raid of a Fort Worth gay bar that resulted in multiple arrests and serious injuries. The raid occurred on the 40th anniversary of the raid of the Stonewall Inn. The parallels were haunting.

July 21 – Tiny Furniture, 2010
98 minutes

“Why do I feel such affection for Tiny Furniture? It’s a well-crafted film, for one thing. . . . It shows a command of style and purpose; Dunham knows what she wants and how she needs to get it, and succeeds. Her character Aura is not charismatic or glowing or mercurial or seductive or any of those advertising adjectives, but she believes she deserves to be happy, and we do, too.” Roger Ebert
