Rules Governing Reproduction of Works of Art from the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

Permission to reproduce works of art will be granted provided that the following conditions are fully met.

  1. The publisher agrees to indemnify and hold the Museum harmless from any and all claims of infringement on behalf of the artist or any other person instituted as a result of the reproduction of this work provided for herewith. The Museum assumes no responsibility for any royalties or fees claimed by the artist or on his/her behalf.
  2. Full caption and ownership credit, as specified by the Museum, must appear either directly under the reproduction, on the page facing or on the reverse. Caption copy must include the artist’s name, title of the work of art, date, medium, size and credit line exactly as it appears on the photo label.
  3. Each work of art must be reproduced in its entirety, and the reproduction may not be bled off the page or cropped in any way. If the image is a detail of the work, the caption “detail” must be included. The reproduction must be full-tone black-and-white or full color and may not be reproduced on colored stock. Nothing may be superimposed on the reproduction (i.e. lettering or tone or another image).
  4. In consideration for permission to reproduce works of art belonging to the collection of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, one copy or, whenever possible, two copies of the publication in which the reproduction(s) appears must be sent to the Museum.
