Magnolia at the Modern Film Schedule

March 22 through April 28    

Magnolia at the Modern is an ongoing series featuring critically acclaimed films. Regular show times are Friday at 6 and 8 pm, Saturday at 5 pm, and Sunday at noon, 2 and 4 pm (exceptions are noted). Tickets are $8.50; $6.50 for Modern members. The Sunday noon show time is half price. Advance sales begin two hours prior to each show.

To the Wonder

Written and directed by Terrence Malick, To the Wonder tells the story of lovers (Olga Kurylenko and Ben Affleck) who meet in France and move to Oklahoma to start a life together. Problems soon arise when one meets a priest and fellow exile (Javier Bardem) who is struggling with his vocation and the other renews a relationship with a childhood sweetheart (Rachel McAdams). Bold and lyrical, the film is a moving, gorgeously shot exploration of love in its many forms.
