Winner of both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award for Best Documentary at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Blood Brotherfollows a rudderless young man named Rocky Braat who finds his life purpose when he travels to India and begins volunteering at an orphanage with HIV-afflicted children. Director Steve Hoover takes us a journey that is alternately harrowing and transcendent, heartbreaking and funny—and altogether unforgettable. With any justice, you’ll be hearing about this film again come Oscar night.
Join film critic Christopher Kelly for the ninth edition of Modern Cinema, an annual, weekend-long film festival that showcases some of the year's most exciting new movies.
