The Legend of Leigh Bowery

In this engaging and colorful documentary, Charles Atlas explores the life and times of artist/designer/performer/provocateur and Freud muse, Leigh Bowery. Bowery designed costumes and performed with the enfante terrible of British dance Michael Clark. He famously created one of a kind outrageous costumes for himself and ran, Taboo, one of the most dazzling night clubs in 1980s London. The film includes interviews with Damien Hirst, Bella Freud, Cerith Wyn Evans, Boy George, and his widow Nicola Bowery. The sound score is by Richard Torrey, who performed with Bowery in their band, Minty.
