  • September 5, 2013 - 7:00pm

Fordson: Faith, Fasting and Football 2011, NR, 92 minutes. This film follows a high school football team from the working-class Detroit suburb of Dearborn, Mich. — home to the largest Arab-American community in the country — as they practice for their big cross-town rivalry game during the last ten days of Ramadan. The predominantly Muslim players on the team must overcome intolerance and bigotry while the community holds onto its Islamic faith as they struggle for acceptance in post 9/11 America.

A moderated discussion with special guests will follow the film.

Doors open at 6:30 pm.  Program begins at 7 pm. Tickets are FREE to the general public and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis beginning at 6:30 pm. The auditorium seats 248.
