ART PROGRAMS FOR KIDS AT THE MODERN

Kids' Modern Art Adventure in December

Kids' Incredible Saturdays are special afternoon workshops for children designed and led by established area artists in conjunction with special exhibitions. Offered twice a year, these workshops provide an in-depth look at the ideas and insights presented in the exhibitions. These inspiring workshops involve a tour of the exhibition, gallery activities, and an art project in the Museum classroom. Join us to discover and explore the Modern's special exhibitions!

These inspiring workshops involve a tour of the exhibition, gallery activities, and an art project in the Museum classroom. Join us to discover and explore the Modern!

Drawing from the Collection for Children
Free Program

This new gallery program is for children between the ages of 5 and 10. Every first Sunday October through December and February through May, an artist leads the class through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the collection. Parents are welcome to accompany their children for these informative drawing exercises in the galleries. Bring a sketchbook and pencils or purchase materials from The Modern Shop. Attendance is limited to 15, so arrive early to ensure your participation.

First Sundays, 2–3:30 pm

No registration is required. This program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 15. Sign in at the information desk. Gallery admission is free on the first Sunday of every month. For information, contact Christine Bisetto at 817.840.2121 or christine@themodern.org.
