Café Modern can seat 125 people, and special arrangements can be made to accommodate up to 250 guests. The Café's outdoor terrace accommodates up to 72 people seated or 150 standing. Larger groups may want to take advantage of the Grand Lobby, which can seat up to 300 guests and hold 1,200 people standing. The sculpture garden is available for standing receptions, and the Modern's auditorium, which seats 250 guests, can be reserved for special presentations.

Private access to the Modern's galleries can also be arranged. The galleries house one of the most impressive collections of modern and contemporary art in the nation. Docent-guided tours of the collection are available for special events.

The staff of Café Modern has received rave reviews from event and wedding planners.
