For Immediate Release:
MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH HOSTS GRADUATE STUDENT LECTURE PROGRAM
Tuesday Evenings; October 23–November 13, 2007
The Graduate Student Lecture Program is an opportunity for area graduate students in art and art history to study original works of art at the Modern Art Museum and present public talks based on their research. This fall, four students will each develop two focused gallery talks on specific aspects of the Modern’s permanent collection. Based on close observation, intensive research, and original analysis, these lectures will explore works on view through a thematic and theoretical approach, offering Museum visitors the opportunity to study works at the Modern in greater depth. Each thirty-minute talk will be presented two times over the course of the semester to allow Museum visitors multiple opportunities to attend. Scheduled to take place before certain Tuesday Evening lectures, these discussions are free to the public with the price of admission to the galleries and begin in the Museum lobby. The first round of topics will be presented on the following dates and times:
