Online and In-Person Registration POSTPONED: New dates to be announced. We will alert you when we have an update.

Our popular Art Camp at the Modern is back! Art Camp is for ages 4 to 13 and Art Study is for ages 14 to 17. We are also accepting applications from students to join our Art Camp staff this year.

The Modern's unique programs for young artists emphasize learning through direct observation of art and thoughtful activities inspired by the permanent collection and current exhibition. We are especially excited to focus on the exhibition Mark Bradford: End Papers for the 2020 summer season. Distinguished area artists design and lead art activities that encompass everything from artmaking in the traditional sense to interdisciplinary exploration.

Art campers spend time in the galleries and on the grounds exploring the art and architecture, followed by time in the museum studio where they work with two artists each session. Instructors provide enriching opportunities to process, apply, and respond to ideas formed in relation to the art on view. The last day of camp ends with a reception and display of the campers' artwork to celebrate their creative accomplishments with family and friends. Campers make exciting discoveries concerning art, the world, and themselves through Art Camp at the Modern.

Scholarships are available! Click here for the application.
