Communications Department

Part time 20+ hours, schedule variable
 

Essential Job Responsibilities
•    Produce, shoot, and edit complete educational, documentary, and promotional videos for the Modern’s website, social media, and other outlets including, but not limited to, interviews, marketing videos, mini documentaries, and informational content. 

•    Photograph for marketing purposes including for events and documentation.

•    Maintain and manage the Modern’s film equipment, inventory, and video archives.

•    Assist the communications department in projects related to video production.

•    Capture video, assist on interviews, assist/direct audio capture, edit final product, and secure copyright for music, photos, and additional footage. 

•    Work with communications department and other museum departments to plan and develop content.


Required Skills
•    3+ years’ experience in video production required
•    Understanding of principles of photography and video photography
•    Proficiency with Sony and Canon camera formats
•    Proficiency with Adobe Suite editing software
•    Understanding of and proficiency with lighting techniques for interviews and indoor photography
•    Ability to work well on a team 
•    Ability to meet deadlines
•    Familiarity with the Modern and modern art preferred
