A docent leads a public tour of the Modern’s building, designed by the renowned architect Tadao Ando. This tour does not require prior arrangements and is free.

Sounds Modern, directed by new music guru Elizabeth McNutt, presents "At Home with the Modern" in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Modern Art Museum building. The concert program reflects the curatorial sensibility of the Modern's current exhibition, tracing common threads through works of both modern masters (including Elliott Carter, one of our most beloved composers, who passed away last November) and younger innovators, and reveling in the discovery of new acquisitions in our repertoire. Admission is free.
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth proudly present An Evening of American Chamber Music on Thursday, May 9, 2013 featuring the works of three FWSO Composers-In-Residence: Gabriela Lena Frank, Kevin Puts, and Behzad Ranjabaran.
This program for families with young children is led by a docent and includes a gallery project designed by the education department. Both the tour and project focus on select works in the Modern’s collection. Registration is not required, but a sign-up sheet is provided at the front desk the day of the program. Attendance is limited; admission is free.

Docent-led tours in Spanish are offered at 2 pm on the first Sunday of each month, when gallery admission is free. These tours are open to the public and do not require prior arrangements.
Docents are also available to conduct private tours in Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, and American Sign Language when reservations are made at least two weeks in advance.
Learn with local artists as they lead free, informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. This class is open to adults at all skill levels. Bring a sketchbook and pencils. Registration is not required, but a sign-in sheet is available at the information desk.
