Sundays with the Modern offers unique perspectives on the Museum’s current exhibitions. Artists, art historians, critics, writers, and architects hold conversations and lead tours in the galleries. This special program is free and begins at 1 pm on the first Sunday of selected months.

Mexico City–based artist Mario García Torres creates cinematic narratives that explore obscure histories and personalities associated with conceptual art of the 1960s and 1970s. Visit with Dallas photographer Allison V. Smith, whose work is featured in Framing Desire: Photography and Video. Learn about her work, how photography is changing, and user-friendly ways to manipulate photos. Using Allison’s “Insta Tips,” take photos throughout the museum while it’s closed to the public and enter your photos in the class Instagram competition. Print photos to take home.
