The Modern maintains one of the foremost collections of modern and contemporary international art in the central United States. Various movements and styles are represented in the first-floor galleries, including Abstract Expressionism, Pop art, and Minimalism, as well as distinct themes such as masculinity and architecture. New acquisitions by Jeffrey Gibson, Gabriel Orozco, Howardena Pindell, and Dyani White Hawk are in conversation with permanent collection favorites.
Now on view in the second-floor galleries, visitors can enjoy a selection of works from the Modern’s collection. The exhibited artworks highlight contemporary abstraction, featuring artists including Kamrooz Aram, Mark Bradford, Lucy Dodd, Terrell James, Sophie Loeb, Sean Scully, Amy Sillman, and Liliane Tomasko,
