Second Thursdays, 10-11:30 am

A special program for people with memory loss and their care partners, In the Moment is a partnership between the Modern and the Alzheimer’s Association of North Central Texas. Every month, participants experience works of art at the museum through intimate conversations with docents and thoughtful projects designed by the Modern’s education staff. The program takes place from 10 am to 11:30 am on select Thursdays, once a month, with space available for 20 participants.

The Exhibition Lecture Series is a dynamic new program featuring curators and artists from the Modern’s special exhibitions and permanent collection. This series provides a rare opportunity to explore the creative processes, curatorial strategies, and artistic visions that shape modern and contemporary art. The Exhibition Lecture Series is a free program open to the public.

Contributor ($600) level members and above

In honor of the artists and exhibition, Feeling Color: Aubrey Williams and Frank Bowling, Modern members at the Contributor ($600) level and above are invited to enjoy cocktails, light bites, and a first look at the exhibition.

Associate ($150) level members and above
March 1; 6–8 pm

Members are invited to celebrate the opening of Alex Da Corte: The Whale at this exclusive after-hours event, featuring live music by DJ WONDEROSSO, access to the new exhibition, and complimentary beer, wine, and light bites.

Reservations are $20 per person for members at the Associate ($150) and Advocate ($240) levels. Modern Docents receive complimentary admission for two adults. Members at the Contributor ($600) level and above receive four complimentary reservations.
 

All Modern members

11 am Tour

All Modern members are invited to enjoy complimentary coffee at Café Modern before a special guided tour of the new exhibition Alex Da Corte: The Whale ahead of its public opening. 

Reservations are not required.
 

Donor’s Circle ($2,500) level members and above

In honor of the artist and exhibition Alex Da Corte: The Whale, Modern members at the Donor’s Circle ($2,500) level and above are invited to enjoy cocktails, dinner, and an immersive preview of the exhibition. 

Seating is limited. Reservations are required.

Supporting Circles members

Reserved as a benefit to members at the Patron’s Circle ($1,500) level and above, the annual vault tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at collection management at the Modern, including an in-depth tour of the vault, to learn why this facet of museum stewardship is so important. 

Reservations are required.
