Join us for a book signing and reception with artist Howard Sherman from 5-6:30 pm. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the Modern Shop and greet the artist.

This lavishly illustrated monograph covering Howard Sherman’s art career features over one hundred color reproductions along with essays by Andrea Karnes, Chief Curator, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; David Cohen, Publisher and Editor of artcritical; and art historian and curator Alex Bacon. The volume is beautifully designed by Michael Motley.

Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops

Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops is an intimate portrait of two Texas police officers who are helping change the way police respond to mental health calls. The film takes audiences on a personal journey, weaving together their experiences during their daily encounters with people in crisis. Guns tucked away, Ernie and Joe de-escalate confrontations, divert people to desperately needed mental health services, and save lives.

Persian Lessons

Set in occupied France in 1942, Persian Lessons follows Belgian Jew, Giules, who narrowly avoids sudden execution by swearing to the guards that he's Persian, not Jewish. While the lie temporarily saves him, he is then assigned the extraordinary task of teaching Farsi, a language he doesn't know the officer in charge of the camp's kitchen who dreams of opening a restaurant in Iran once the war is over.
