Free for Modern members and their children or grandchildren at the Associate level ($150) and above. Celebrate the season at a family-friendly gathering featuring sweet treats and holiday fun!
Members are invited to celebrate the opening of Jaune Quick-to-See Smith: Memory Map at this after-hours event featuring first access to the new exhibition, live entertainment, and complimentary beer, wine, and light bites.
Reservations are $20 per person for members at the Associate and/or Modern Contemporaries and Advocate levels. Museum docents receive complimentary admission for two adults. Members at the Contributor level ($600) and above receive four complimentary reservations.

In honor of the artist and the exhibition Jaune Quick-to-See Smith: Memory Map, Supporting Circles members ($1,500+) are invited to enjoy cocktails, dinner, and an exclusive preview of the exhibition. “Even my curating was basically a form of writing in my mind. . . .
“Shepherd dug deep into herself and her process to figure out how to make paintings that would essentially make themselves instead of her superimposing images on them.
“I do believe that there is such a thing as intuition and there is such a thing as imagination. I just think these are concepts, that they’re culturally realized.
“My work comes right from a visceral place―deep, deep―as though my roots extend beyond the soles of my feet into sacred soils. Can I take these feelings and attach them to the passerby?
