The Return of Tanya Tucker – Featuring Brandi Carlile

The trailblazing, hell-raising country music legend Tanya Tucker defied the standards of how a woman in country music was supposed to behave. Decades after Tucker slipped from the spotlight, the rising Americana music star Brandi Carlile takes it upon herself to write an entire album for her hero based on Tucker’s extraordinary life, spurring the greatest comeback in country music history.

Art & Krimes by Krimes

While locked up for six years in federal prison, the artist Jesse Krimes secretly creates monumental works of art—including an astonishing 30-foot mural made with prison bed sheets, hair gel, and newspaper. He smuggles out each panel piece by piece with the help of fellow artists, only seeing the mural in totality upon coming home. As Krimes’s work captures the art world's attention, he struggles to adjust to life outside, living with the threat that any misstep will trigger a life sentence.

Moonage Daydream

Told through sublime, kaleidoscopic, never-before-seen footage, performances, and music, Brett Morgen’s (The Kid Stays in the Picture, Cobain: Montage of Heck, Jane) feature-length experiential cinematic odyssey explores David Bowie’s creative, musical, and spiritual journey. The film is guided by Bowie’s own narration and is the first officially sanctioned film on the artist.
PG-13; 140 minutes
