Lia Graham is a singer/songwriter known for her heartbreaking lyrics and unique melodies. Drawing inspiration from classic rock and indie folk, Lia's music comes from a place of emotion and honesty. Recorded and produced locally, she hopes her songs find you exactly at the right time and place. Having moved to Fort Worth just a year ago, she’s found herself in a songwriting community she describes as “beyond welcoming.”

This event is free and open to the public.

Through the Fort Worth Public Library, Amplify 817 delivers commercial-free, curated music from Fort Worth artists. This gathering place for Fort Worth music lovers and musicians inspires discovery and sharing. Presented in partnership with Hear Fort Worth and sponsored in part by the Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, Amplify 817 celebrates and showcases music native to the city to be experienced by everyone.

While the Fort Worth music scene can boast many accomplished and award-winning musicians, Amplify 817 nurtures budding artists by bringing their music to light and making it easily accessible to fans around the corner or around the world. The Library and featured artists proudly offer the selected music for free streaming, and Library card holders can download the featured songs to keep at no cost.

Stage Events - Throughout the run of the special exhibition Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers, a site-specific stage located in front of the Modern’s auditorium will host both programmed performances and spontaneous activations. An artwork in its own right, Stage, 2026, features a powder-coated steel surface bearing Johnson’s signature marks, scratched and branded into the metal, aging and burnishing over time. This platform, where others can express themselves, emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between artist and audience, a central motif in the artist’s practice.

Inspired by Johnson’s early memories of dancing and performing with friends atop Carl Andre’s Post-Minimalist floor works at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Stage is a testament to Johnson’s commitment to creating space for others. More than an invitation to engage and interact, the work fosters artistic endeavors and creativity as a collective experience.
