The North Texas Children's Chorale

  • December 8, 2019 2:30 PM

The North Texas Children's Chorale presents a concert of holiday music, performed in the Modern's Grand Lobby, celebrating classical and contemporary selections in Spanish, German, Catalan, and English, with a pianist on keyboard, a classical harpist from the University of North Texas, and a local Spanish guitarist and flautist to embellish the performance. The North Texas Children's Chorale singers are between the ages of 7 and 14 years and study a traditional tone for children's voices, performing in many languages and styles. Concerts include works of renown composers such as Handel and Rutter as well as contemporary Art Song composers from Texas. Vocal literature adapted for our children's chorale includes pieces composed by Viktor Andersson.
