Every year, young pianists from all over the world come to Fort Worth to participate in what has become one of the most esteemed summer programs for tomorrow's concert pianists. In 2012, the PianoTexas International Academy & Festival will focus on the music of Franz Schubert and Claude Debussy, whose 150th anniversary is celebrated throughout the world. The Distinguished Artists Series will feature internationally famed guest artists in 8 recitals, presenting many of Schubert's and Debussy's works. The Symphonic Series will feature the winners of the Concerto Competition with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra directed by maestros Miguel Harth-Bedoya and Leon Fleisher.
