Modern Contemporaries Fall Kick-Off

The Modern’s Under-Forty Friends are invited to kick off an exciting new season with a self-guided tour highlighting the work of Fort Worth artist Betsy Coulter at Blind Alley Projects and a first look at the newest Art Tooth SOMA installation.

Wave to your fellow Contemporaries while enjoying a thought-provoking, socially distanced afternoon with chances to win Modern merchandise. Pick up a complimentary frosty cocktail curbside from Tarantula Tiki Lounge, the last stop in an afternoon celebrating local culture and community.

Cocktails with the Curator: Mark Bradford End Papers

Modern Contemporaries members (The Modern’s Under-Forty Friends!) are invited to join Michael Auping, former chief curator at the Modern, for a special look at the Museum’s newest exhibition, Mark Bradford: End Papers, which he guest-curated. Enjoy a relaxed evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a private, after-hours tour of the exhibition. Members will have the rare opportunity to ask Michael questions in an informal setting to learn more about Mark Bradford, the significance of this body of work, and how it came to be at the Modern.

Modern Contemporaries Fall Kickoff

The Modern’s Under-Forty Friends and special guests are invited to experience the Museum in a new way and to learn how the institution is striving to serve as a cultural pulse point for our diverse community!

Ride the freight elevator on your way to hear directly from expert staff about how artwork is stored and handled in the galleries, watch live screen printing by Pan Ector Industries in the Education Studio, and visit the Boardroom, with chances to win prizes along the way!
