First Friday at the Modern with the Bobby Falk Quartet

Take advantage of live music in the Grand Lobby and enjoy music from the Bobby Falk Quartet.

The first Friday of each month, the Modern and Café Modern team up to bring you live music and drink specials in the museum's Grand Lobby from 5 to 8 pm. Invite friends to enjoy unique cocktail selections, and the opportunity to dine at the Modern by night. Café Modern offers a full menu in the dining room and lighter fare in the Grand Lobby until 8 pm. A docent-led, 20-minute tour of the galleries is available at 6:30 pm.

Learn with local artists as they lead informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. This free class is open to adults at all skill levels—just bring a sketchbook and pencils. Registration is not required, but participants should sign in at the information desk. 2-3:30 pm

Each session is led by an artist who takes participants through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the Modern’s galleries.
