Learn with local artists as they lead informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. This free class is open to adults at all skill levels—just bring a sketchbook and pencils. Registration is not required, but participants should sign in at the information desk.

PianoTexas International Academy & Festival Young Artists Concert

The Modern presents PianoTexas International Academy & Festival Young Artists Concert this Saturday, June 14th from 12 to 1 pm. Admission is FREE.

Modern and Texas Ballet Theater Children's Workshop Movement and Motherwell

This program for elementary school–aged children includes a tour of Robert Motherwell’s work followed by a combination painting and dance workshop led by the Modern’s education department and Texas Ballet Theater. Both the painting and dance activity focus on selected Motherwell works from the Modern’s collection. (10 am - Ages 4-7; 2 pm - Ages 8-10) Registration is required; please email twolf@themodern.org. Attendance is limited to 25 participants; admission is free.

Sundays with the Modern offers unique perspectives on the Museum’s current exhibitions. Artists, art historians, critics, writers, and architects hold conversations and lead tours in the galleries. This special program is free and begins at 1 pm on the first Sunday of selected months.
