Blessed is the Match (NR, 2010, 90 minutes) — She was only 22 years old when she parachuted into Nazi-occupied Europe in an effort to save the Jews of Hungary, but when poet and diarist Hannah Senesh was executed by the Nazis a year later, the modern-day Joan of Arc had already left behind a body of work and a legacy of bravery that would inspire generations to come.

 

Movies That Matter is a FREE film series that highlights important human and civil rights issues. Each event features a film screening, followed by a moderated discussion with special guests. Screenings are held in March, June and September, culminating in December with a special event to commemorate Internal Human Rights Day which is celebrated around the world on December 10.
