A musical remake of the classic comedy The Philadelphia Story, High Society brings together Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Celeste Holm, and Louis Armstrong in a breezy Newport romance set to Cole Porter’s elegant score. Kelly stars as socialite Tracy Lord, whose wedding weekend is complicated by the return of her charming ex-husband (Crosby), the arrival of a magazine reporter (Sinatra), and the irresistible pull of music, memory, and second chances.

The “My Favorite Films” series features tales of romance, humor, suspense, satire, and heroism with films since 1945. These films may hold special memories for you—no matter how many times you see them, they continue to draw you in once more. While many of these films are available through streaming, it's always more fun to see them in the theatre.
