Virtual Studio Artmaking Workshop

Modern Contemporaries have the opportunity to create their own piece of art inspired by the Modern’s newest acquisition, The Seated III, 2019, by Wangechi Mutu. 

Instruction will be offered in a live, virtual platform, with supplies provided.

Live Special Presentation ART x STREETWEAR: The Intersection of Art and Fashion with Jenny Davis

Modern Contemporaries and Director’s Council members are invited to explore the ongoing relationship between art and fashion through the lens of award-winning magazine writer, editor, and editorial fashion stylist Jenny B. Davis. Members and guests are encouraged to come dressed in full representation of personal style as we celebrate and unite en vogue.

Members will also enjoy after-hours gallery access and a special takeaway to complement the evening.

Reservations to attend in person are required by February 18.

This exhibition preview is open to all Modern members, by reservation only.

Virtual Modern Members' Book Club

We are pleased to offer a book club exclusively for Modern members. Balancing discovery with discussion, these informal virtual conversations provide the opportunity to engage with other members through the shared experience of the selected book. 

This season kicks off with the book Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees by Lawrence Weschler.
