Being There: Online Gallery and Lecture Programs
Like many things that have defined our schedules and activities, the Modern’s gallery and lecture programs must reconfigure. Though disappointed by the abrupt halt to our live, in-person programs, we are excited to introduce learning alternatives online.
During the closure of schools in and around Fort Worth, the Modern’s education department is pleased to offer supplemental art assignments to help educators and students engage with artists and ideas related to the Modern’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.These packets include resources, questions, instructions, and exercises to help students explore with art even when they’re not able to go see it in person. Please check in weekly for updates and new releases.
The Modern Podcast series offers a chance to delve deeper into the Museum's lectures and programs. Revisit insights from the Tuesday Evenings lectures, discover new ways to look at works in the collection, hear artists speak about their work, and listen to curators’ perspectives and discussions.
Art Camp 2020 is going online! In addition to artist-designed project packages and virtual classrooms for registered campers, we are also offering free downloadable 10 Pages projects for ALL kids to enjoy at home.
