For ages 4-8 and ages 9-12

*This is a virtual event.*

Learn with local artists Dannie Liebergot and Desiree Espadaas they lead informal projects on video. Hands-on exercises relate to works you might remember from visiting the Modern’s galleries or are introduced to here and can look forward to visiting in the future. Projects are designed with household materials in mind.

Desiree Espada is an art director, designer, and photographer who lives in Dallas. After graduating from The University of North Texas in 2010 with a BFA in Visual Art/Photography, Espada received the Kimbrough Award from the Dallas Museum of Art. After working with the artist Ryan McGinley in New York, she returned to Dallas, where her roles have included graphic designer and art director, specializing in editorial and custom content. Her photographic work centralizes around identity, coming of age, and collections. Her collaborative photographic work with Kasumi Chow can be seen at The Public Trust Gallery in Dallas.

Dannie Liebergot is a visual artist who lives and works in Brooklyn. She completed her BFA in photography at the University of North Texas in 2015.
Using photography, video, and sound, she surveys the landscape examining ideas of the sublime, biophilia, and the duality of senses: the conflicting emotional responses that arise when we interact with our environment.
