Join artist Dan Jian for an evening studio taking a closer look at the work of Milton Avery. Jian is the Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at TCU and a self-described “fan-girl” of Milton Avery. Spend time in conversation with her in front of Avery’s paintings in the galleries, followed by time in the studio, where she will take participants through still-life observation and subtractive drawing/painting techniques using canvas and oil sticks. Enjoy a Wolfgang Puck snack box and admire your fellow participants’ works. It is impossible to be bad at this! All materials and refreshments are provided.
