Slow Art Tour

The aim of the Slow Art movement is to break with the often frenetic pace of modern life to simply enjoy works of art in a deliberate and unhurried fashion. Slow Art at the Modern invests in this pause with a 25-minute spotlight tour focusing on one work of art.

Slow Art Tours are every third Friday and are free with no registration required. The tour starts near the information desk.

Join us on October 16 for a special Slow Art Tour led by the Modern's Curatorial Fellow Sofía Pichardo. Meet and hear from Sofía as she discusses Anthony Caro's The Descent from the Cross (after Rubens) in the Modern's Lobby.
