Join us for a special evening celebrating Women in Winemaking, featuring Melissa Moholt-Siebert of Ancient Oak Cellars.

"I founded Ancient Oak about 15 years ago, based on a Pinot Noir vineyard that had been in my husband Ken's family for several generations. That is our heart and soul, with the rest of our body being filled out with grapes from other small family-farmed vineyards. Ken is our primary grape grower for both of vineyards that we own and live on, and some that we lease and farm. Greg La Follette is our winemaker, though both Ken and I have lots of involvement, both at crush and when we are tasting and blending barrels, which is one of the most fun jobs out there! Ken and Greg and I are so fortunate to be able to live this life on the land and in the cellar, with such intimate connections to these wines that we are honored to make." Melissa Moholt-Siebert, founder and co-owner.

Ancient Oak Cellars is family-owned and family-farmed, with a direct connection to every part of the winemaking process. The winery team is small and directly involved with all aspects of the winery. In partnership with her husband, Ken Moholt-Siebert, a thoughtful farmer who grows most of their grapes, and winemaker Greg La Follette, Melissa Moholt-Siebert is the general manager and sales manager for Ancient Oak Cellars.

Ancient Oaks Cellars is focused mostly on single-vineyard wines that they grow. Their vineyards are certified sustainable, but - more importantly - are lived on and farmed by the families that planted them.
