Stop by at 6 pm to enjoy a beer or glass of wine in the Grand Lobby* before Curator Andrea Karnes leads a private tour of Framing Desire: Photography and Video from 6:30-7 pm. After the tour, return to the Grand Lobby for drinks, light bites and live music until 8:30 pm by The Boss Level. Members receive two complimentary drink tickets; cash bar available.

Mexico City–based artist Mario García Torres creates cinematic narratives that explore obscure histories and personalities associated with conceptual art of the 1960s and 1970s. Meet the artist and enjoy drinks and appetizers with the Modern Contemporaries prior to Mario’s Tuesday Evenings lecture. Class is limited to 30 participants.

Visit with Dallas photographer Allison V. Smith, whose work is featured in Framing Desire: Photography and Video. Learn about her work, how photography is changing, and user-friendly ways to manipulate photos. Using Allison’s “Insta Tips,” take photos throughout the museum while it’s closed to the public and enter your photos in the class Instagram competition. Print photos to take home.
