A docent-led, twenty-minute tour of the galleries is available at 6:30 pm. Admission to the galleries is $10, $4 for students and seniors, free for Modern members. On First Friday, gallery admission is free for Star-Telegram Press Pass Holders.
Sundays with the Modern offers unique perspectives on the Museum’s current exhibitions. Artists, art historians, critics, writers, and architects hold conversations and lead tours in the galleries. This special program is free and begins at 1 pm on the first Sunday of selected months.
Join us at the Modern on Father’s Day and give dad the experience of trying his hand at something new – casting a fly rod! The team from Backwoods will be out on the reflecting pool from 11 am to 1 pm demonstrating the art of casting, sharing advice, and giving patrons the opportunity to try it for themselves.

Live Bates: Structured improvisations inspired by the David Bates exhibition
Contemporary Dance/Fort Worth will present structured improvisations inspired by the works on display in the David Bates exhibition Appearances will be scattered periodically throughout the evening, 5-8 pm. With original costumes by Crickett Pettigrew, themes from the works on display will be reflected in movement sequences and “still life” arrangements in the format of a “happening.”
A public tour focused specifically on current special exhibitions is available at 2 pm on the first Saturday of each month. This tour does not require prior arrangements and begins in the Museum lobby.
