Catch the local premieres of short films from the 2015 Dance On Camera festival of New York City.  This 45-minute program includes some content which would be the equivalent of a PG-13 rating:

Well Contested Sites (Amie Dowling, USA, 2012; 13:27) - Developed and shot on Alcatraz Island, this film explores the issue of mass incarceration and the complex experience faced by the incarcerated.

Two sessions of this free program are offered, one for ages 5 to 8 and one for ages 9 to 12. Each session is led by an artist who takes participants through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the Modern’s galleries. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Bring a sketchbook and pencils. Attendance is limited, so early arrival is encouraged. A sign-up sheet is located at the information desk.

Carlo McCormick

October 21—Carlo McCormick, a culture critic and curator living in New York, is the author of numerous books, monographs, and catalogues on contemporary art and artists. He curated the exhibition The Downtown Show: The New York Art Scene, 1974–1984, which debuted at the Grey Art Gallery in New York in 2006 then embarked on a national tour, and contributed the essay “A Crack in Time” to the acclaimed catalogue The Downtown Book: The New York Art Scene, 1974–1984.

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is one of more than 2000 museums across the United States to offer FREE admission to military personnel and their families this summer.

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth will participate in Blue Star Museums in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America.
