A location scout, Sophia (Mimi Davila), is tasked with finding the perfect interiors for a television pilot episode. Over the course of a single day she drives around New York City, interacting with strangers, taking photos of their cozy apartments and eclectic shops, and attempting to satisfy the demands of her erratic employers. Offering an inside view into the invisible labor of TV production, The Scout traces one woman’s path as she struggles to find balance between her professional and personal worlds.
