La Donna Harris: Indian 101
Comanche filmmaker Julianna Brannum chronicles the life of Comanche activist and national civil rights leader LA Donna Harris and the role that she has played in Native and mainstream America history since the 1960s. In this new verite style documentary, Brannum, the great niece of Harris, celebrates her life and the personal struggles that led her to become a voice for Native people and her contemporary work to strengthen and rebuild indigenous communities and train emerging Native leaders around the world.
Angels in America Part II
America in the mid-1980s. In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell.
Andrew Garfield (Silence, Hacksaw Ridge) plays Prior Walter along with a cast including Denise Gough (People, Places and Things), Nathan Lane (The Producers), James McArdle (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Russell Tovey (The Pass).

Art 101: A Think and A Drink
Open to all Modern members
As a benefit of your Modern membership, you are invited to complimentary Art 101 classes designed to strengthen your connection to the Modern and broaden your knowledge of modern and contemporary art and architecture.
Each hour-long class will be hosted Wednesday evenings of selected months in Café Modern from 6 to 7 pm. A cash bar will be available. You are encouraged to bring friends. To make reservations, e-mail membership@themodern.org or call 817.840.2115.

Learn with local artists as they lead informal basic drawing classes in the galleries. This free class is open to adults at all skill levels—just bring a sketchbook and pencils. Registration is not required, but participants should sign in at the information desk. 2-3:30 pm

The first Friday of each month, the Star-Telegram, the Modern, and Café Modern team up to bring you live music and drink specials in the museum's Grand Lobby from 5 to 8 pm. Invite friends to enjoy unique cocktail selections, and the opportunity to dine at the Modern by night. Café Modern offers a full menu in the dining room and lighter fare in the Grand Lobby until 8 pm. A docent-led, 20-minute tour of the galleries is available at 6:30 pm.
