“Robert Schwartzman’s documentary on British band The Zombies (“She’s Not There”, “Time of the Season”) is worth checking out whether you’ve been a fan for decades or if you’re just discovering them.” —Allison McCulloch, SXSW 2023 Review, The Music City Drive-In

British Invasion icons the Zombies reflect on sixty years of their musical path in the band’s first feature-length documentary. Surviving band members Rod Argent, Colin Blunstone, Hugh Grundy, and Chris White share their story of navigating the tumultuous music industry and making one of the most influential albums of all time, 1968’s Odessey and Oracle. While the single “She’s Not There” from their first album made them the first British band after The Beatles to reach #1 in the US in 1964, after years of touring and many missteps, the band missed out on their biggest moment yet, breaking up before their song “Time of the Season” became a global success in 1969. Over the years the band’s music has continued to inspire future generations, and the Zombies were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
