This program for children between the ages of 9 and 12 takes a closer look at the contemporary art in this season's FOCUS exhibitions. Each class spends time in the galleries looking and talking about the work before proceeding to the studio for an art activity and further discussion. Sign up early; space is limited. The first Friday of each month, the Modern and Café Modern team up to bring you live music and drink specials in the museum's Grand Lobby from 5 to 8 pm. Invite friends to enjoy unique cocktail selections, and the opportunity to dine at the Modern by night. Café Modern offers a full menu in the dining room and lighter fare in the Grand Lobby until 8 pm. A docent-led, 20-minute tour of the galleries is available at 6:30 pm.
