Human

Human is a collection of stories and images of our world, offering an immersion to the core of what it means to be human. Through these stories full of love and happiness, as well as hatred and violence, Human brings us face to face with the other, making us reflect on our lives. From stories of everyday experiences to accounts of the most unbelievable lives, these poignant encounters share a rare sincerity and underline who we are—our darker side, but also what is most noble in us and what is universal.

Modern Reading

Modern Reading serves to expand ideas about the work in the Modern’s galleries by delving into books that relate, directly or indirectly. This season features reading recommendations by Robyn O’Neil in conjunction with the exhibition Robyn O’Neil: WE, THE MASSES in hopes of gaining insight into the artist and her work. Jerrett Lyday, Humanities Instructor at I. M. Terrell High School, Fort Worth, will lead us as we discuss our findings and visit the galleries. This is a free program. 6-8 pm

The North Texas Children's Chorale

The North Texas Children's Chorale presents a concert of holiday music, performed in the Modern's Grand Lobby, celebrating classical and contemporary selections in Spanish, German, Catalan, and English, with a pianist on keyboard, a classical harpist from the University of North Texas, and a local Spanish guitarist and flautist to embellish the performance. The North Texas Children's Chorale singers are between the ages of 7 and 14 years and study a traditional tone for children's voices, performing in many languages and styles.
