The Human Voice
Pedro Almodóvar’s English-language debut is a short film adaptation of the Jean Cocteau stage play of the same name, but Almodóvar’s sensory filmmaking and Tilda Swinton’s bracing lead performance make the 30-minute short feel as emotionally fulfilling as any feature film.

Members of the Supporting Circles ($1,500+) have the opportunity to get creative with an informal, interactive artmaking project inspired by the Modern’s newest acquisition, The Seated III, 2019, by Wangechi Mutu.
Instruction will be offered in a live, virtual platform, with supplies provided.

Director’s Council members are invited to hear directly from artist Wael Shawky in an informal virtual talk and tour of the new exhibition developed exclusively for the Modern.

Modern Contemporaries and Director’s Council members are invited to explore the ongoing relationship between art and fashion through the lens of award-winning magazine writer, editor, and editorial fashion stylist Jenny B. Davis. Members and guests are encouraged to come dressed in full representation of personal style as we celebrate and unite en vogue.
Members will also enjoy after-hours gallery access and a special takeaway to complement the evening.
