Each Drawing from the Collection for Children session is led by an artist who takes participants through informal drawing exercises in relation to works in the Modern’s galleries. The March session will be led by artist Diane Durant. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Bring a sketchbook and pencils. Attendance is limited, so early arrival is encouraged. A sign-up sheet is located at the information desk.

This short, 20-minute tour is narrowly focused on a single theme and is the perfect break from the First Friday action of the Grand Lobby. This month's tour is "A Personal Perspective: New Acquisitions by Two Texas Artists," and will focus on the work of Jammie Holmes and Vincent Valdez The tour starts at the information desk. Gallery admission is free on Friday.

This film chronicles the history of the first US African American public high school rowing team, composed of young men from the West Side of Chicago, many of whom were in rival gangs. The film is narrated by Common, directed by filmmaker and Olympic rower Mary Mazzio, and produced by NBA athletes Grant Hill and Dwyane Wade along with 9th Wonder who also did the hip-hop score for the film.
