Each session is led by an artist who takes participants through informal drawing exercises that relate to works in the Modern’s galleries. Children under the age of six must be accompanied by an adult during the program. Bring a sketchbook and pencils. Attendance is limited; early arrival is encouraged. Jacaranda Guitar Ensemble

In conjunction with Mexico: Inside Out: Themes in Art Since 1990, the Jacaranda Guitar Ensemble will play the music of contemporary Mexican composer Ernesto García de León. De Leon from Veracruz, Mexico currently lives in Mexico City where he teaches at UNAM. His improvisational style of writing reflects the spontaneity  in today's world while his musical melodies and rhythms are distinctly Mexican. The program will consist of solos, duos and a guitar quartet.
