In conjunction with Mexico: Inside Out: Themes in Art Since 1990, the Jacaranda Guitar Ensemble will play the music of contemporary Mexican composer Ernesto García de León. De Leon from Veracruz, Mexico currently lives in Mexico City where he teaches at UNAM. His improvisational style of writing reflects the spontaneity in today's world while his musical melodies and rhythms are distinctly Mexican. The program will consist of solos, duos and a guitar quartet.
Members of the ensemble are Leslie Enlow, Pedro Haley, Carlo Pezzimenti, and Brian Rowe
