Purchase Meeting

This event is the culmination of the FOCUS exhibition season, where members of the Director’s Council vote on a new acquisition for the Modern’s permanent collection. Members will have met and heard from three FOCUS artists and seen their work over the course of the season. A benefit of Director’s Council membership is the privilege of voting on this annual acquisition. To learn more, email the membership department.

Vault Tour

This annual event takes members at the Donor’s Circle level ($2,500) and above into the vault where art is stored when not on view in the galleries. Members will learn how the Modern is working to achieve its mission of not only presenting postwar art but preserving the collection as well.

Art 101

Hear from museum editor Leslie Murrell and learn about the intricacies involved in creating Modern publications, such as exhibition catalogues, books, and more.

Offered as a benefit to Modern members at the Associate level ($150) and above, Art 101 is a complimentary lecture series designed to strengthen your connection to the Museum and broaden your knowledge of modern and contemporary art and architecture.
